Is it appropriate for a stake president to sit on the stand next to the bishop when attending his own ward sacrament meeting?

Mark

_______________

Mark,

Mormon meetinghouseYes. This is under the principle of presidency… meaning ‘to preside’. The ward is under his stewardship as the Stake President.

Now, if the stake president traveled outside his stake to another ward, then it would not be appropriate to sit on the stand in a ward outside his stake.
