Have just read your reply to the question. “Is the planet kolob 300,000 light years from the earth”? During your reply you stated that “Kolob was one of three planets that were close to the celestial kingdom.” I have not come across this in my studies, would you please elaborate?

Dear John,

If you will examine Facsimile No. 2 in the Book of Abraham, you will find the following:

“Fig. 1. Kolob, signifying the first creation, nearest to the celestial, or the residence of God.”

“Fig. 2. Stands next to Kolob, called by the Egyptians Oliblish, which is the next grand governing creation near to the celestial or the place where God resides;”

“Fig. 5. Is called in Egyptian Enish-go-on-dosh; this is one of the governing planets also.”

These appear to be the three grand governing stars that appear next to the celestial kingdom of God.
