Hey Gramps,

I thought that when the Second Coming came to pass, then we’d all die and be resurrected in the blink of an eye. Than Satan would be bound and we’d live in the Millennium without his influence. But my parents think that only people who lived in the time of Jesus Christ will live in the Millennium. I believe in being fair and just, and I know Heavenly Father is fair and just. It just doesn’t seem fair that the people who lived in the time of Jesus Christ get to live in the Millennium and not anyone else. Is this what my parents think true? Or do I have it all wrong?

Dear Olivia,

Those who survive the events leading up to the Second Coming will be on the earth during the Millennium. They will live out their normal lives, (being married having kids etc) when they reach their allotted time in mortality, they will die and be resurrected in the blink of an eye.

mormon-jesus-christ-Second-ComingThose who lived during the time of Christ clearly will not have a mortal span on the earth at this time, because they already had theirs. We don’t know much about the status of resurrected people during this time other then that they will be around, so it is quite possible that they will have an impact in some way.
