Question

Gramps,

I am an active Mormon and my husband is a member also but inactive and doesn’t keep the Word of Wisdom. I am getting ready to take my endowments and we have two children, one of which has been married in the temple and I have one grandson. Can my son be sealed to me? My parents are both dead and in September we will complete their work by having them sealed together. Thanks ahead for your answers.

Brenda

Answer

Dear Brenda,

Children can only be sealed to a mother and a father. So your son cannot be sealed to you until you and your husband are sealed together. However, you may be sealed to your deceased parents.
