Question

Gramps,

When God commanded Noah to build an ark and get two of every animal, how was it possible for him to get two of every animal on the earth when Noah was only in one area?

Jennifer

Answer

Dear Jennifer,

Just a couple of points—

1) The flood occurred before the earth was divided, which was in the days of Peleg (Genesis 10:25), so there would not be any oceans for the animals to cross.

2) Do you really think that Noah had to go out and hunt all these animals and herd the into the ark? Undoubtedly, the Lord moved upon the animals, directing the pairs that He wanted saved into the ark.
