Dear Gramps,
Is it wrong to like someone who is 19 years younger than you? I am 39 and he is 20 I really need to know the answer.
Wendy, from Pittsburg, Texas

Dear Wendy,
It may not be wrong, but it certainly is impractical. You probably like this kid more as a child than as a husband. Your child-bearing years will be essentially over when he will be about 25. I guess that if you wanted a family you could adopt some children. And what about your interests? Are they anywhere near the same as his? And what about his education? If he is going to provide for your children after you are gone, he’s going to have to be able to earn a respectable income. That necessitates a college degree. And in today’s world that means an advanced degree. Are you in a position to support and encourage him to get his education? And what’s to keep him from falling in love with someone about half your age?
