Hi gramps!

When Lucifer says he is only doing that which he’s seen done in other worlds, what exactly is he referring to, tempting the children of god? And he couldn’t of known when he tempted Eve in the garden of Eden that he was fulfilling part of heavenly fathers plan or he wouldnt of done it right? I know this is a ridiculous thought as well but one could theoretically say that since in order for heavenly fathers plan to work there had to be someone to fulfill the calling to tempt the children of god we should say, well good job there brother in making this world a terrible enough place so we can test ourselves and overcome tribulation, glad I didnt have that dirty job! I’m not sure if I’m making any sense! Sorry!

Candice,

Adam and Eve eating fruit MormonSatan tempted Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit because “he knew not the mind of God” (Moses 4:6). He wasn’t playing along with our Heavenly Father’s plan. Rather than feeling any gratitude towards the master tempter, we should thank our Heavenly Father for creating a plan that provides a Redeemer should we succumb to temptation.
