Peter, James and John the Beloved

In D&C Section 7 where it talks about how John is blessed by Christ to remain on earth until he returns, it talks about how Peter and James his brother would minister for him. I’ve been looking through the footnotes and though I’m not done researching it I wondered what your answer would be Basically Are Peter,James,and John the beloved still on the earth?

book-of-mormonIn 3 Nephi 28:6 talks only about John remaining on the earth. So my opinion is that Peter received his wish to speedily go into the Kingdom of God.
