Question

Gramps,

What a great website to stumble upon! Thanks for sharing insight in such an appropriate way. My question is about the morning of the first resurrection. What can you tell us about this? Thanks so much!

Elizabeth

Answer

Elizabeth,

In scripture, we are informed about two great resurrections that will occur for all of God’s children upon the earth. The first resurrection has two parts: the morning and the afternoon. The second resurrection are spirits who were disobedient and unjust in this life and receive a telestial body. Those who come forth in the first resurrection will either be resurrected with a celestial body or a terrestrial body.

The ‘morning of the first resurrection” will be individuals who have been faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ and will receive a celestial body, and these are they who inherit the celestial kingdom.

3. There is order to the Resurrection.
