Gramps,
What do we look like when we die?
Rosella, from England

Dear Rosella,
I assume that you mean, “what do we look like as spirits in the spirit world after we die?” If that is your question, we understand that the form of the body is patterned after that of the spirit. In the resurrection, after our bodies are brought out of the grave, and we then have an immortal body as the tabernacle for our spirits, we will come forth in the perfection of our bodily form. Elder Russell M. Nelson, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Mormon Church, has said—

“Scriptures tutor us at least twenty-six times to endure to the end to attain eternal life. Then we will obtain a resurrected body, one that is incorruptible, glorified, and prepared to live in the presence of God” (Elder Russell M. Nelson, Self-Mastery, Ensign, November 1985, p.30).
