Question

Gramps,

I’ve wondered for some time if there is anything written about what individuals duties or responsibilities would be in the afterlife if they only attained a terrestrial or telestial glory. I’ve heard the term “ministering angels” but I’m a little fuzzy on what that actually means or entails. For lack of a better word, what’s the “job description?”  I’m not trying to be irreverent. I was just wondering what, if anything, the brethren had said on the subject.

Answer

Dear Rich,

Not really. The church is focused on helping us get through this life. The details that we have been given about the after life is rather sparse and focused many on just what we really need to know.

I would image that an individual’s duties or responsibilities would greatly depend on the individual in question.

I do know that God has it all worked out and that we will learn when we are ready to receive it.
