Question

Dear Gramps,

Could you explain to me exactly what is the “Kingdom of God”?

John

Answer

Dear John,

There are several connotations of the “Kingdom of God.” God is the organizer and the creator of the universe, and everything within it. He rules over all. There is nothing that is beyond His reach which He does not have dominion or control. That is one definition of the Kingdom of God.

Another aspect or definition of the Kingdom of God would be all those who make allegiance with Him by taking upon themselves the name of Jesus Christ through baptism by immersion for the remission of sins by one with the requisite priesthood authority to administer in God’s name. In mortality, that group is known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in the post-mortal spirit world it consists of all the saints of God, or all the faithful members of His church who have in all the ages of the world.
